This got me thinking about 1 Corinthians 15:51, that says, “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed.” Notice the words, “we will all be changed”. Could the Law of Conservation of Energy be at work here? If The Law of Conservation of Energy means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; and it can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. This could mean that you and I will forever exist somewhere, in some other type of dimension!

I believe that we will all live for eternity. I believe each one of us will come to a proverbial fork in the road at some point in our lives and we will have to make a choice that determines our eternal state. Deuteronomy 30:15 says, “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.”

The one fork in the road leads to eternal bliss and pleasures forevermore. The other fork in the road leads to eternal sorrow, displeasures and, discontentment forevermore. So, the question is, how do we choose the proverbial fork in the road? Is it by chance, luck, or some other unseen force?

Here’s what Deuteronomy 30:15 says, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” Family, I want to choose life for me and my children.

The truth according to Bible is that you and I are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body and we were created by God in His image. According to Romans 8:31, “God is for us, not against us AND He loves us so much that He made it possible for us to be redeemed from our lost stage through His son, Jesus Christ.” Romans 3:24 says, “…and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[ have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 6:18 says, “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” Romans 6:22-23 says, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” 23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Thinking about the proverbial fork in the road again read Romans 8:2, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Do you see the fork in the road? One fork is the law of the Spirit, the other fork is the law of sin and death. Romans 8:6 says, “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”  Romans 5;21 says so that, “just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Each one of us must choose one of the two forks in the road. The law of sin and death or the law of righteousness and life. The law of man or the law of God. The carnal way or the spirit way. The old way or the new way. Life as is or life as it will be. The way of satan or the way of Jesus. The truth is, the choice is ours. But today, the Spirit of God is speaking to us and wooing us to chose life in Jesus Christ, eternal life and endless bliss. To choose the way of blessing, not cursing. Any person who has ears to hear would much rather live under the blessing, than under a curse. The choice is OURS.
